전 세계적인 코로나바이러스 팬데믹 사태로 재택근무를 하는 회사가 많아졌습니다.

출퇴근 시간도 30분정도 당겨지거나 미뤄져서 출퇴근 시간의 혼잡함을 피하는 노력도 있었구요.

처음에는 혼란이 있었지만 그래도 서로 잘 조율하며 순조롭게 진행되는 듯합니다.

이번 전염병 사태가 끝나더라도, 일부 근로자들은 재택근무를 유지할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

[Study Group Questions]

 

 

1. Talk about your own personal experience of working from home.

 

I am not working yet, so I don't have something to tell you about working from home.

However I do have an experience of studying from home!

Since my university has been lockdown, we students cannot go there to study and take lessons.

Instead of it, many professors let students do their assignments at home.

Me, of course, have lots of essay assignments every week...

Though I couldn't see my professors and classmates, it is still good to study on my own.

Plus, I don't have a mid or final exam, which is really happy to hear!

 

 

2. Is it better to work from home, or at the office?

 

I personally think, we don't have to go to work every day for five days a week.

Two or three days can be necessary to communicate with one another like having a business meeting or getting feedbacks.

However, it will be also great to let the workers do their work at home.

We can do almost every work with a laptop computer and smartphone everywhere.

Therefore, if a worker couldn't focus on their work at an office, it can be replaced to another place such as home or a cafe, etc.

Companies will also have many benefits about it.

They don't have to keep many infrastructures in their working building or office rooms.

 

 

3. What are some jobs that can't be done at home? Why is that?

 

Well... if we need some great facilities when working, it couldn't be done at home.

For example, a factory worker should be in factory to work and control the machines there.

A factory is usually so big that it will be just better for workers to be there rather than going home and working from home.

Here is another example, a delivery man should also be outside to get their job done.

However, in my imagination, there could be some day in the future, that delivery men don't have to go outside and drive.

Instead of driving with packages, they can control some drones at home, which will get packages to customers' doorsteps.
