수능을 마치고 대학에 들어가기 전 제일 기대되었던 선물이 노트북이 아니었나 싶습니다.
부피가 크고 무거운 데스크톱에 비해 가볍고 어디든지 들고 다닐 수 있는 노트북!
카페에서도 노트북을 펼치고 공부를 하거나 업무를 보시는 분들이 많죠.
여러분들은 주로 어떤 용도로 노트북을 사용하고 계신가요? (저는 요즘 블로그 포스팅을 자주 하네요!^^)

1. take up less space 공간을 덜 차지하다
Laptops are convenient because they take up less space.
노트북은 공간을 덜 차지해서 편리하다.

공간을 덜 차지해서 그 제품을 선택했어.
An induction cooktop takes up less space and is easier to clean.
인덕션은 공간도 덜 차지하고 청소하기에도 더 편리해.

내가 미니멀리스트가 된 이후로, 공간을 덜 차지하는 물건을 찾기 시작했다.
2. high-res screen 고화질 화면
The newest laptops have high-res screens.
최신 노트북은 고화질 화면을 사용한다.
A high-res screen will drain the battery more quickly.
고화질 화면은 배터리를 더 빨리 소모할 것이다.
My new smartphone has a high-res screen.
새로 산 스마트폰은 화면이 고화질이야.

My old phone does't have a high-res screen, but it cannot be the reason for changing it.
내 오래된 폰은 고화질 화면을 가지고 있지는 않지만, 그것이 폰을 바꿀 이유가 되지는 않지.
3. connect wirelessly 무선으로 연결하다
Some people use keyboards that connect wirelessly to their laptops.
무선 키보드를 노트북에 연결해서 사용하는 사람들이 있다.
My headphones connect wirelessly to my phone.
내 헤드폰을 휴대전화에 무선으로 연결할 수 있어.
These earphones cost more because they can connect wirelessly.
이 이어폰은 무선 연결이 가능해서 가격이 더 비싸.

If it hadn't been for that high price, I would have bought Airpods which connect wirelessly to my phone.
그렇게 비싼 가격만 아니었다면, 난 내 폰과 무선으로 연결되는 에어팟을 샀을 거야.
1. What are the pros and cons of laptops versus desktops?
Laptops are firstly a lot lighter than destops, so you can carry it everywhere.
However, without an internet connection or Wi-Fi, it becomes to be hard to use outside.
Maybe personal connection which is called hot-spot can help you to use your laptop in this situation.
Also, when you use your laptp outside, there should be lots of things to carry with including a battery charger.
On the other hand, for destops, since you don't have to carry it around, there are less things to take care of.
Destops usually have more storage inside, so that you can play games more easily with it.
노트북은 기본적으로 데스크톱보다 훨씬 가벼워서 어디든 들고 다닐 수 있습니다.
하지만 인터넷 연결이나 와이파이가 없다면, 밖에서 사용하기 어려워집니다.
일명 핫스폿이라고 불리는 개인 연결이 이런 상황에서 도움이 될 수 도 있지만요.
또한, 노트북을 밖에서 사용하려면, 충전기를 포함해서 많은 것들을 챙겨야 합니다.
반면에 데스크톱은 여기저기 들고 다닐 일이 없어서 신경 써야 할 것들이 적습니다.
데스크톱은 보통 저장용량이 더 많아서 게임을 하기에도 수월합니다.
2. What are some important features you look for when you choose a laptop?
As for me, it has to be design and weight.
I have been using LG laptop computer ever since 2013, and it feels so heavy and old-fashioned now.
As a big fan of Apple, I want to buy Macbook this time, showing off the apple mark behind!
Another feature I would consider will be the weight of a laptop which should be light enough to carry around.
It might be okay to have low spec, but if the laptop is too heavy with high spec, it will lose its character as a laptop, I believe.
I should save money to buy new laptop!!
저에게 있어서는 디자인과 무게가 중요할 것이에요.
저는 LG 노트북을 2013년도부터 사용하고 있는데, 이제는 너무 무겁고 구식으로 느껴집니다.
애플의 팬으로서, 이번엔 맥북을 사고 싶습니다. 뒤에 있는 애플 로고를 뽐내면서요.
제가 고려하는 다른 특징은 무게인데요, 들고 돌아다닐 수 있을 정도로 충분히 가벼워야 합니다.
저사양을 가지는 것은 상관없습니다. 하지만 고사양인데 너무 무겁다면, 그건 노트북으로써의 특징을 잃어버린 것이라고 생각합니다.
새 노트북을 사기 위해 돈을 모아야겠어요!!
3. Describe the laptop you are using now. When and where did you purchase it?
My laptop is quite old and it is becoming nearly ten years old.
I suppose, it is surprising that it is still working with that age.
Of course, it couldn't stand at least 30 minutes without a charger and it has problems with Wi-Fi connection.
Sometimes it becomes so hot when working that I think I need some ice pack for it...
Well... but I still like my first-small-white laptop, and I am going to be together with it until it dies.
Thank my laptop for being with me until now!
제 노트북은 꽤 오래되었는데요, 거의 10년이 다 되어 갑니다.
제 생각에는 이렇게 쓰고도 아직 작동한다는 것이 놀라울 따름입니다.
물론 충전기 없이 최대 30분도 버티기 힘들고, 와이파이 연결에 문제가 있기는 합니다...
가끔 노트북을 사용할 때 너무 뜨거워져서, 아이스팩이 필요한가 싶기도 합니다.
글쎄요... 하지만 저는 여전히 제 처음-작고-흰 노트북을 좋아해요, 그래서 망가질 때까지 쓸 작정입니다.
지금까지 저와 함께 해준 노트북에게 고마워요.
